This is the work of the Utah-based artist Sean Tyler Young. Born in Texas, he has been creating with anything he could get his hands on or mind around.
Creation, passion, joy, and purpose. Pointillism tells a story, yet, never its own. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but how many more will it tell if that picture is made up of 500,000 dots? Every moment is singular, having never occurred in eternity past, never to happen again in eternity future. When a moment is given pause, we can lean in to what something is telling us. When every detail is made known, this singuality can be rightly understood and appreciated, if only we have ears to hear.
As a piece begins to form, from a place, a photograph, or a memory of a place that never was, it begins to dictate the flow of the next part of the story. No piece will perfectly mirror its source, nor should it. A good storyteller knows to let a story evolve for its hearer, on its own time, manner, and emotion, culminating at just the right pace, if ever at all.
Sean Tyler desires for you to wander and wonder, not just within the confines of this art, but wherever life gives you a chance to experience the pause of a singular moment. Make new things until all things are made new.
